Iranian Threats

Dry Bones cartoon - Iran threatens Israel
President Ahmadinejad speaks. The World Without ZionismHe's launched "The World Without Zionism" campaign. So maybe you were wondering why a country with as much oil and natural gas as Iran so desperately needs nukes?

The "civilized" world is racist. It has a double standard. It doesn't expect much from Muslim states. Not when it comes to humanitarian aid and not when it comes to civilized behavior.

Of course these days we've got Bloggers to speak out and blow whistles. The following is from a neat German blog (in English) called MedienKritik:
"Anti-Semitic books are not permitted in Germany. Authors and publishers of anti-Semitic literature usually face the full brunt of the law, without regard to their nationality. Public presentation of anti-Semitic literature in Germany is simply not tolerated.Of course, there are exceptions, for instance when the publisher is the Iranian state, as Matthias Küntzel observed at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2005."
Iran's "The World Without Zionism" campaign has provoked some Euro-criticism but that too, I expect, will quickly pass.

I couldn't resist doing this light-weight but funny cartoon when I realized that they'd already wiped us off their maps.

There is a pronounced bias towards Israel aand Iran's condemnation of Israel is nothing new. What amazes me are the number of people in Europe and America who are anti-Semites. A lot of them will never admit it either. It's ugly and insidious. I stand with Israel.

Very funny, yet sad that the world is at such a point.

The American Moderate Party supports Israel as a partner in peace, so long as the recognition exists that extremism must be halted on both sides of the fight.

The French riots are just the beginning. They will soon spread to other European countries since the French are reluctant to use force to put down these criminals. Maybe if Belgium, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Italy, et al, prayed 5 times on their hands and knees, these riots will not come to their countries. Isn't that what Chamberlain believed? Appeasement will be our salvation.

HA ............

You're absolutely right, Hippo. When we learned that Carter, Clinton, Kennedy, Kerry, Sharon (sounds like Curly, larry & Moe, doesn't it?) and many others were unavailable for comment we speculated that they were off somewhere trying to conjure Chamberlain so they could ask his advice.

Also, we understand that the Nobel commiittee left a message for Carter asking him if he remembers what he did with that prize.

They'd like it back.

Remember what Sir Winston said: "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made the sestruction of Israel his avowed policy. Ahmadinejad’s declaration in 2005 that “Israel should be wiped of the map” was met by widespread international outcry. Yet the declaration was not an isolated incident. I dont speak Farsi. But I've heard the proper translation of what A'jad said had a different enough meaning then "Iran will wipe Israel off the map". I believe the translation was that "the Zionist entity will be wiped off the map". And then you have to use your imaginiation as to what was meant by that.
Regardless - A'jad knew what he was saying even if he was only attempting to talk just below the radar.
